Financial Controller

My client, a growing food manufacturing business, has an opportunity to join them as a Financial Controller. The role reports directly into the MD and has overall responsibility and control of finance. There is the potential for this role to develop into a Finance Director role.

Key aspects of the role will include; assisting with the formulation of strategic, corporate and long-term business plans, identifying business risks and opportunities, financial reporting and communication, preparation and distribution of the company's Statutory Accounts, Monthly Management Accounts, budgets and forecasts, compliance with and computation of the company's tax returns, ensuring company compliance with legislation, Statutory returns, government departments and agencies, responsible for the negotiation of contracts with financial institutions associated with company requirements, cash and currency management and control, conducting financial reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong background within food manufacturing and a history as a Financial Controller. The ability and willingness to interact with other areas of the business is key.
