Business Development Director - Scholarly Publishing - £100,000 OTE

A very rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced and hungry Business Development Director to join this market leading corporation within the Scholarly Publishing industry. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Development Director will be targeting FTSE 500 companies within the Scholarly, Medical and Publishing markets. This role offers a very attractive starting salary and immense progression opportunities.

The Role:
The Business Development Director will be taking the lead in actively seeking new business opportunities within the Scholarly, Publishing and Medical sectors - offering the opportunity to make use of this Scholarly Publishing Hosting Platform. You will be pitching to C-Level decision makers within FTSE 500 enterprises so experience liaising with Board level directors is vital.

The Candidate:
The ideal Business Development Manager candidate will have previous experience managing a team of field sales executives while building and maintaining your own pipeline. The Business Development Director will also have experience pitching to C-Level decision makers within the Publishing, Scholarly and Medical arenas. Presentation must be impeccable along with excellent communication skills and a clear hunger for success. Strong relationships management is a must as it is vital for revenue optimisation.

The Package:
The successful Business Development Manager will receive a generous basic salary of £65,000 - £75,000 with another £30,000 OTE.
