The role is a very "hands on" position covering the compliance areas of taxation as well as advice and planning. The role, in the main, will report directly to the Partners and the successful candidate will have to manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, and relatively few corporate clients. The role to a certain extent can be moulded to the candidate's experience and expertise.
Ideally the candidate will be a professionally qualified accountant or tax consultant and have experience of working in a small or mid-sized Firm. From a technical point of view, the ideal experience would include all areas of personal taxation, UK and offshore trust knowledge, as well as corporate services experience including VAT and PAYE, although the latter is not essential.
