Finance Director
Manchester - North West
Divisional Finance Director sought for a FTSE 100 business services group. This role would ideally be based in Greater Manchester but can also consider candidates based in London. As the Finance Director for the division and member of the business unit's board you will partner the divisional MD, lead the finance team and provide business support to operational business heads. Key responsibilities will include:
* Providing challenge and support to the MD and Operations Director, taking a lead role in driving the operational and commercial performance of the business
* Financial Controllership and governance
* The provision of monthly value-added management information to the board
* Leadership of a team of c.15, helping them to develop and grow in their careers
* Taking the lead on a systems implementation program, liaising with project teams in the wider group.
This pivotal role will require an a highly impressive and ambitious senior finance professional with a track record of delivering the numbers as well as partnering cross-functionally to drive commercial value. You will be a strong self-starter who can influence cross-functionally with emotional intelligence and tact whilst being robust enough to ensure the right business outcome. The ideal candidate will have gained some of this experience working in either professional services, engineering, or construction industries.
This role offers the opportunity to add significant value in a key business unit of a large, high profile plc and will also offer the ability to progress quickly up the wider group.
