den Scott is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading Professional services firm. This firm is now seeking to recruit a key member of the executive team as Business Development (Marketing) Director, this role reports into the Chief Executive Officer and will be based in Edinburgh.

This key role will lead and develop the firms' strategic Business Development and Marketing advice to the Chief Executive.

Key responsibilities include:

To promote a firm-wide culture of Business Development, with the principal objectives of growing revenue and maximising the profitability of client relationships.

To drive forward the Key Client programme and the fee-earner BD skills training programme to ensure delivery of a high quality, commercially-focused service to clients.

To lead and motivate the Business Development team and ensure that their activities are aligned to the strategic objectives of the firm.

To build brand awareness and establish a strong, clearly differentiated offering.

To work collaboratively with the Senior Management team and play a pivotal role in the delivery of business change and improvement.

Key skills required:

At least 10 years proven and demonstrable track-record of success in a Business Development role; including 5 years plus in a senior management position.

Extensive experience gained in professional services and preferably in the legal services and/or accountancy sectors.

In-depth knowledge of all Business Development disciplines with particular experience of running effective CRM, Key Client programmes and management and motivation of BD teams.

Honours degree with preferably a post graduate qualification.

Experience in one of these sections desirable, namely Real Estate, Energy or Financial Services.

Salary up to £100k dependant on experience plus substantial benefits.
