Finance Director - Private Equity House

This medium sized, well established and rapidly growing investment house has an impressive portfolio of investments and is successfully expanding the number of acquired companies. To accelerate its growth, it has now created the new position of Finance Director for the European portfolio.
Working closely with Group senior leadership and the management teams within the various investments, the role includes:
* Overall responsibility for driving value creation across the portfolio of investments, ensuring that the value drivers are understood and underlying financial performance is clear
* Preparing investments for exit, ensuring finance is structured and providing the relevant data in the appropriate manner to facilitate a sale
* Supporting portfolio company CFOs and CEOs in a variety of projects, including business plans for exit, major finance changes etc
* Managing and coordinating external consultants/advisors
* Supporting European deal teams in finance issues
As an impressively well rounded and emotionally intelligent qualified accountant, it is critical that you have in-depth experience of a broad mix of financial skills and have had exposure to corporate finance and have worked with, or for a PE house. You will also have a demonstrably successful background of driving value add through organisations across an international footprint and be comfortable with up to 40% European travel. This is a significant, high profile role within a very successful and growing organisation that has a well respected and ethical name within the sector.
