A new opportunity has become available for an Execution Systems Manager with a leading research and technology firm in the financial industry, based in Cyprus. You will have the opportunity to lead an internal IT team in the support of the Group's IT systems and trading platforms. The role will be based in Limassol.
The role
In this role, you will lead a team developing and managing the firm's complex IT systems. You will be responsible for developing & supporting the company's geographically distributed electronic trading platform and should be capable of understanding and contributing to the technical solution from design through to code level. This will involve close communication with portfolio managers, execution system specialists, researchers, developers, traders, brokers and project management work.
The role will be responsible for the daily set up, running, monitoring and troubleshooting of the trading system that operates 24 hours a day and trades equities, futures and spot FX in Asia, Europe and North America. You will also be involved in maintaining and operating the in-house electronic analysis and trading systems in after-hours rotation.
The individual
To be considered for this position, you should have previous experience in leading an IT team in the financial services industry - ideally with good exposure to trading platforms. You will be a hands-on developer, while also leading an internal team and working closely with the Project Managers to ensure delivery of projects and meeting deadlines.
You will hold a degree in science/computing/numerate/engineering field with a strong core understanding and low-level programming experience in C# and .NET technologies. Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in analysis and design is important, as is knowledge on relational databases, MS SQL Server.
Travel between the various international company office locations will also be required.
