Senior Data Scientist

Data Science - Machine Learning - Algorithms - Semantic Search - Boston - Hedge Fund

Our Client, an exciting start up making noise in Boston, are seeking highly a skilled Principal Data Scientist for their team in Boston. This role provides the opportunity to implement cutting edge machine learning models and algorithms to deliver actionable intelligence, leveraging techniques like semantic search amongst others.



This business is an early stage start up looking to make a huge impact on the investment industry, it is definitely not your typical Hedge Fund environment and the focus is really on creating and R&D type environment with a focus on creativity.



Skill requirements:

* Industry experience in Data Science and Machine Learning
* PhD in relatable field (statistics, computer science, analytics, or other quantitative discipline)
* Machine learning: clustering, decision trees, neural networks and affinity analysis, semantic search
* Relatable industry experience is a plus
* Proven expertise in the fundamentals of statistical (Machine Learning, NLP)



Role responsibilities:

* Lead development and execute new and highly complex algorithms and statistical models
* Determine analytical and modelling techniques to evaluate potential future outcomes
* Develop creative and intelligent Machine Learning models
* Application of quantitative techniques for processing and extracting information from large data sets.
* Apply cutting edge machine learning theories and techniques to investigate problems, detecting patterns and recommending solutions
* Provide guidance and develop strategy for business wide analytics roadmaps.
