FINANCE MANAGER

The role includes:

- Supervising the Account Assistant/Assistants to ensure that sales and purchase ledger transactions are posted accurately and timely.
- Checking and approving ledger entries made by the Accounts Assistant/Assistants.
- Ensuring that entries are coded to the correct company or business unit to maintain the integrity of the accounting system.
- Calculating and posting month end journals to meet the deadline.
- Carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliations and post entries required to keep the balance sheets accurate and tidy.
- Running the monthly payrolls.
- Administering the pension scheme.
- Filing returns with HMRC on a timely basis.
- Year end payroll procedures including P11D reporting.
- Completing VAT returns on a timely basis.
- Producing weekly rolling cash forecasts.
- Managing the day to day relationship with the banks.
- Setting up payments with the bank.

Skills Required:

- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Excellent Excel skills
- Multi company experience
- Knowledge of VAT
- Knowledge of payroll and pensions
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage time well.
