FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Our client is a leading independently owned retail/e-commerce business who are continuing to grow and remain profitable in an increasingly competitive environment. Their unique position of strong financial stability remaining solidly independent and privately owned have ensured they maintain their position as national supplier.

A senior position has become available to enhance and facilitate business growth. The successful individual will be responsible for all aspects of the finance function, providing key management information to support the commercial and operational decisions of the business, whilst securing their financial position. In order to maximise the role potential, you will require extensive accounting knowledge and experience coupled with a strong commercial background and team management skills.

Reporting to and working closely with the Managing Director, some key responsibilities include:

Ad hoc reporting for Managing Director
Ensure all accounting reporting requirements are delivered in a timely and accurate fashion to the Managing Director and Board
Supervise the production of annual statutory accounts for the business
Monthly/Quarterly budgeting & forecasting
Operational reports & variance analysis
Finance team management
Non Finance duties including Training, Team Management and IT development

High levels of communication skills are required, both internally and externally. This is a client facing position which requires a confident individual to lead from the front.

You will continuously analyse and improve the accounting systems and software ensuring the systems use is maximised. This is a challenging role which requires a strong individual with high levels drive and ambition. Huge career development is available for the right person here with a strong potential to develop into a Managing Director position.
