Senior Purchasing Manager - Programmes

My Client, a manufacturer in the Luxury Car Market, are seeking to hire a Senior Purchasing Manager for Programmes & Projects.

* Reporting directly to the Director of Purchasing
* Full procurement responsibility for both New Model and series expenditure
* Programme Value +£mm
* Managing a team of experienced Purchasing professionals
* To deliver against aggressive targets for the Purchasing function to support organisational growth
* Primary accountability in the implementation and management of Supplier Contracts
* Lead complex negotiations and support the teams in the development of long term strategies for multi-million pound projects
* Create an organisation where talent is supported in its development by training, and mentoring assignments

Ideally the successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, and or a full member of CIPS, or at least working towards it.
*Extensive Purchasing experience ideally within a manufacturing environment is required; however, of greater importance is the individual's aptitude and commitment to rapidly assimilate the needs of the role and to be quickly performing in the role, to a high standard.
*The individual should hold a full driving licence, passport and be prepared to travel where their specific work responsibilities require it.
*A competent understanding of the Microsoft suite of office tools would be advantageous.
