Technical Director - Media/Broadcasting/TV/Operations/Director/Amsterdam/Netherlands
My client is a world leading producer and broadcaster of adventure travel and extreme sports genres. They are expanding their headquarters in Amsterdam and looking for people passionate for media, entertainment and technology. They are seeking a Technical Director to provide technical leadership for all aspects of the business reporting to the CEO.
Key responsibilities;
* Lead and manage the Technical Operations team of 6 people and own all technical service partner relationships
* Responsible for all technical aspects ranging from camera/production related technology, post-production, MAM, scheduling, play-out, signal distribution and broadcasting (Satellite, Cable, IP), streaming, display and more
* Specify and maintain technical production specification to keep up to date on new technology, industry specifications and trends
* Review and improve workflows, processes and tools to improve efficiency and allow operational processes to run smoothly
* Own and manage the technical/operational aspects of the channel/VOD platform partners
* Maintain the technical operations and IT budgets
Requirements;
* Strong technical Broadcast/media background with a minimum of 3 years in a management role
* Knowledge of television and/or broadcasting technology
* Understanding of online streaming platform technology
* Experience with managing customers and suppliers
* international working experience
* A confident, strong communicator, a natural leader who has a proven track record of managing teams
* Fluent in English
