Linux engineer - Amsterdam - Freelance
For a client in Amsterdam area we are looking for a Linux administrator experienced with the Red Hat platform. Initially this will be a contract position with the option to be hired as a permanent employee at a later stage.
The client has an e-payment platform running on a Linux environment. They are looking for an administrator that will be responsible for the 24/7 running of the platform and its applications. Further, it is important to have experience in the administration of virtualized servers with VMware 5.0.
The ideal candidate
* Experience with Redhat 5, 6, 7
* Strong experience with Redhat Satellite is a must
* Good knowledge of VMware 5.0
* Experience in writing playbooks with Ansible
* Good knowledge of puppet
* Solid knowledge of python or bash scripting
* Strong experience with Exalogic is a big plus (Applicants who have this skill can directly contact me to arrange an interview)
* Basic experience with networks, databases and storages
The job
* Development of provisioning tools for automated virtualisation and full life-cycle deployment
* Support of large RedHat Enterprise 5/6/7 environment providing application/database/backend support.
* Design/implementation and support of HA (High Availabilty) clusters.
* Orchestration/Configuaration/Monitoring using tools including Satellite, Ansible, Puppet, Sensu, Zabbix, Nagios, Bash, Python.
