My client is a global engineering and infrastructure conglomerate, their transportation Research and Development subsidiary are looking for a Cloud Architect (AWS, Spark, Data Analytics, Machine learning) to provide key technical expertise within a newly formed data team.
Responsibilities:
- Defining the backend, data handling and communicate with databases to extend cloud capabilities.
- Research and stay up to date on latest relevant technical trends, innovations and processes.
- Ensure there is consistent architecture in place across multiple projects.
- Provide integration services and assist with developing interfaces.
Requirements:
- Degree/Masters in computer science or related fields.
- Expert knowledge of cloud platforms, with AWS being a key requirement.
- Programming skills and several years industry experience working with big data/data bases.
- Background in distributed computing (Spark/Blaze), also experience with continuous integration.
- Experienced in developing Linux platforms and knowledge of security.
