Project Manager

My client, a leading German telecommunication provider with headquarter in Cologne, is currently looking for an experienced project manager to lead through a pan European network project. The project will be located at the their network center in Kerpen and will start on the 1st March 2018 for the duration of seven months, with an option for a further extension until the end of 2018.

Job description

* Accountable for conducting international, telecommunication projects (2-3 sub-projects)
* Work closely with key Stakeholders to keep them informed on progress of the projects
* Responsible for ensuring that projects within their area adhere to the delivery framework and are successfully delivered in a controlled manner
* Accountable for the assessment of Risks / Issues within and between projects
* Manage Capex and Opex budgets for Projects ensuring accurate forecasting, expenditure tracking, change control and reporting
* Accountable for ensuring that the required management reporting is provided to the timetable and timescales required
* Fosters a customer-focused approach and ensures effective team working



Skills and qualifications

* Very profund experience in planning and managing a large scale project in complex organization (must be evident from CV)
* At least basic theoretical understanding of relevant technological background (telecommunication networks, network expansion, node splits etc.)
* Bachelor or higher degree, ideally in a technology-related area, plus related project experience
* Expert organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, self-starter able to work independently with minimum of supervision
* Strong communication skills
* Proven ability to multi-task
* Very good command of German and English language (German communication within direct project team, English communication with pan-European team and project leads)
