Software engineer C/C++

Software engineer - Amsterdam - Freelance
For a client in Eindhoven area we are looking for a software engineer that will work in a Linux environment. Initially this will be a contract position with the option to be hired as a permanent employee at a later stage.
The company is a market leading organization in chip-making technologies. As part of the development team, you will be responsible for developing software in different languages such as C/C++. Also, it is expected that you understand embedded Linux kernel and device drivers.
The ideal candidate
* Strong knowledge of Linux, including embedded linux, kernel and device drivers
* At least 5 years of experience in C++/C
* You are familiar with GIT, SVN, Clearcase, etc
* Familiar with network protocols such as TCP/IP or others
* You are experienced with VxWorks configuration and development
* Solid knowledge of python or bash scripting
* You are open to work on a permanent basis in the long run
