A FTSE 100 client is recruiting a commercially oriented Divisional Finance Director for a rapidly growing business unit. Reporting to the CFO, you will work in close partnership with the Division's Managing Director and broader management team. With full P&L ownership your key responsibilities will include:



* Acting as a strong business partner to the Division's Managing Director, supporting commercial and operational decision-making across the business unit, supporting and challenging commercial and operational decision-making
* Ensuring the robustness of all financial controls, processes and systems identifying any risks or weaknesses, creating effective solutions and then driving through and implementing value adding change
* Managing the delivery of robust budgeting, forecasting and planning processes - implementing a 'no surprises' reporting environment providing effective and accurate information, to ensure a clean balance sheet
* Analysing new and existing business initiatives - challenging assumptions and highlighting any risks / opportunities, providing commercial analysis and insight to facilitate effective business decisions



The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a demonstrable track record of working in a dynamic, rapid growth and data-centric organisation, in a senior leadership capacity. Exceptionally strong commercial expertise coupled with proven business partnering experience will be essential. Prior experience of working within a start-up environment as well as a more established listed organisation would be advantageous.



As a confident self-starter, you will have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and build strong relationships across all levels. You will have the credibility and gravitas to challenge current thinking and influence in a positive and constructive manner both within finance and cross-functionally. With clear enthusiasm and drive you will thrive in a fast-paced and change-oriented 'start up' environment.
