My client, a leading German telecommunication provider based in Cologne, is currently looking for an experienced software developer to support several web application projects. The project will start in April 2018 for the duration of 9 months.

Background: Support of Solvatio Projects
Duration: 02/04/2018 - 31/12/2018
Location: Kerpen (close to Cologne)
Sector: Telecommunication
Capacity: Fulltime (2 days/week remote possibility)
Languages: German/English
Tasks:
* (Further) development, maintenance and operation of current web application Solvatio projects
* Further development and maintenance of the DataCube data pools based on the Talend software
* SQL tools and Solvatio output maintenance
* Preparation and explanation of process models based on the BPMN
* Optimization and refactoring of existing code base, workflows and global variable component
* Software development according to agile methods
* Evaluation of new tools and technologies
Qualifications:
* IT-technically oriented education and / or studies or comparable project experience
* Very good PHP knowledge XML, Xpath, Java resp. Groovy skills
* Knowledge of agile methods (Scrum, ..)
* Safe German and English skills
* Solid experience in developing and programming complex web applications
* Development skills in handling web services (REST, SOAP) and WSDL
* Experience with PHP frameworks (ZEND, Symfony)
* Good knowledge of relational databases
* Analytical and structured thinking
* High level of initiative, creativity and independence
* Awareness of software quality
