Corrugated Packaging
Ref: 02/751

Rigid Containers is part of the VPK Packaging Group, one of the fastest growing independent manufacturers of recycled paper, corrugated and solid board packaging, with 46 facilities in 16 countries.

A rare opportunity has arisen at the Desborough plant, (also UK HQ), for a Site Director who will be responsible for leading and further developing this 25,000 m² site, currently producing 140m m² of corrugated packaging each year, through planned expansion, investment and a move towards an increasingly complex work mix. As Site Director of this 24/5 plant, your challenge will be to lead and develop a highly motivated workforce of c200 to further develop a flexible, customer focused, continuous improvement Lean culture, with a commitment to driving manufacturing excellence in all operational areas.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will assume full management responsibility for all Manufacturing, Engineering, CI, Logistics, H&S and Quality functions and have the tenacity, vision and commercial acumen to deliver even greater improvements to an already high performing plant.

Of graduate calibre you will have demonstrable ability to improve productivity by developing an advanced, team based, continuous improvement manufacturing culture. Commercially astute and customer driven, you will be an outstanding communicator and presenter capable of providing strong and highly visible leadership to the enthusiastic and highly committed team. Whilst corrugated experience is strongly preferred, high calibre candidates from other areas of the paper/packaging sector will also be considered. Experience of leading plant development and £multimillion capex projects would be extremely advantageous.

This is a genuine development opportunity which will attract candidates looking for future significant career progression.
