Electronics Compliance Engineer

Our client, part of a global group, is a market leading designer and manufacturer of high value, high technology products, which it supplies to worldwide markets. As part of their continued investment into product development, they are now looking to strengthen their development team with a high calibre Compliance Engineer.

You will provide support to the design teams to ensure that new products meet safety, EMC, and other international regulatory requirements specific to electrical / electronic products. Sometimes working on your own, or managing a small team, you will ensure that the product meets all technical and manufacturing requirements, liaising at all levels with other internal departments and suppliers. This will involve providing technical advice to designers on what can be made, taking a lead in engineering activities such as DFMA.

Ideally HND/Degree qualified in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, you will be able to demonstrate substantial experience and a successful track record in product compliance. A background in low volume, high technology products is required, including a good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. LVD, EMC, IVD, NRTL, FCC, ROHS, WEEE). The ability to communicate effectively and to challenge existing practices is also required.
