Accounts Manager - Some Audit Experience (Accountancy Practice)

Location: Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire (Onsite Office-based)

Salary: GBP 60k BOE Excellent Benefits

Job Type: Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm

Our client is a well-established and forward-thinking Accountancy Practice in London with multiple branches. They are seeking an Accounts Manager with some audit experience and already has death with a large client base. This role involves direct communication with clients and partners and taking responsibility for each assignment from planning to completion.


* Manage a portfolio primarily consisting of non-audit clients for general practice partners.
* Plan, supervise, and review statutory accounts, including preparing notes for partners.
* Support the outsourcing team with technical matters and work alongside them to progress jobs from bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts to the production of statutory accounts.
* Demonstrate the ability to prepare and supervise the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
* Assist in generating new business across service lines, including supporting partners in new client tenders and onboarding procedures.
* Maintain a strong awareness of corporate tax considerations during the accounts preparation process and client interactions related to tax matters.
* Manage billing processes and monitor actual costs against budgets, reporting any variances to partners.
* Report directly to Partners and collaborate with other managers within the firm


* At least 5 years experience working in Accountancy firm.
* Previously worked in a similar role as a manager within accountancy firm
* ACCA or ACA qualified
* Good working knowledge of accounting standards and the ability to coach and train junior team members.
* Capable of providing on-the-job training to staff, identifying training needs, and offering appropriate support.
* Demonstrated managerial skills and experience.
