My client, an award-winning Media House is looking for a Business Analyst. You will join a Single View of the Customer (SVC) workstream within the Customer Data Platform.
Customer Data Platform team is a part of the Digital Product and Engineering department. The team is tasked to build a data platform which brings multiple customer data silos together and build SVC for many use cases, such as management reporting, analytics, enhancements in commercial processes, digital product user journeys, etc.

What will the role involve?
As a Business Analyst, you will be defining customer attributes which will become part of SVC. You will work closely with various business stakeholders from Digital Product, Commercial, Editorial, CRM, etc. departments to understand the need, value and implementation details of customer profile attributes (e.g. demographics, education, location) and behavioural characteristics (e.g. loyalty, frequency, interests).
Your day-to-day tasks will involve:
Working with business stakeholders to identify customer attributes to enable various business cases, e.g. targeted advertising, in-site personalisation, cross-promotion of various agency owned products etc.
Researching industry practices of building SVC and customer attributes
Mapping data sources and data points required to derive attributes
Conducting exploratory data analysis
Specifying implementation details of attributes for data engineers and working with them collaboratively to deliver
Planning testing strategies and running basic checks
Creating and supporting documentation of SVC
Designing visualisation dashboards for basic customer segmentation
As a Business Analyst for SVC, the following skills are essential:
Worked with data team to define and implement customer profiling, customer attributes, customer segmentation or similar projects
Experience in working with tech products and customer data in digital advertising, media, entertainment or retail industries
Experience in working with multiple stakeholders to understand the needs, drive definitions and decide on priorities of technical implementation
Worked with technical teams (data engineers, BI developers, data analysts) to deliver data projects. Has experience in specifying requirements for engineers to implement
Working knowledge of SQL
Working knowledge of data visualisation tools Tableau, Qlick, Looker, Data Studio, Quicksight or equivalent
