The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a leading Events company developing business in the corporate world in London.

Key responsibilities:

* Develop New Business pipeline and opportunities. Open doors to profitable and commercial opportunities.
* Maintain, develop and grow sales opportunities within a given portfolio of clients.
* Close sales and manage the work flow with internal stakeholders ensuring we deliver and at a minimum, match the clients service expectation.
* Promote our client`s services and values in a professional engaging way.
* Build strong relationships with all clients and grow your network within each of these businesses.

Key Accountabilities:

* Research prospective clients in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to secure commercial and profitable new business.
* Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients.
* Follow up new business opportunities and set up initial meetings.
* Work closely with Hire Desk to maximise potential of new and existing hire clients
* Ensure delivery of requested products and services in a timely fashion, by liaising with production and additional team members
* Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning.
* Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors.
* Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects within the geographical area you have been assigned.
* Generate sales within your portfolio of accounts, including up-selling and cross-selling.
* Communicate new product developments to prospective clients.
* Operate as the point of contact for assigned clients.
* Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
* Facilitate projects with appropriate internal teams.
* Communicate client needs and demands to relevant personnel and/or suppliers where necessary.
* Plan, prepare and deliver presentations, pitches, reports and proposals.
* Service multiple clients concurrently, always meeting deadlines.

Key Dimensions:

* Delivery of sales targets for new business and retention/growth on existing clients.
* Keep updated on the industry including competitors.
* Report opportunities and threats to Sales Manager.
* Achieve set KPIs.
* Keep CRM system updated with all activity.

Based in London either working from home or in a serviced office, salary is competitive and negotiable for the right candidate - circa GBP 40k-GBP 50k basic salary plus commission/bonus with OTE of GBP 75k plus travel expenses.

Your skills and experience

The successful candidate will have:

* Five years proven track record in new business sales.
* Excellent organisational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
