The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a sales strategy and a team of sales managers.

Key to the role will be the build and development of a clear new business and marketing strategy plan alongside the senior management team.

This strategy will also need to come from a robust prospecting plan developed through desk research, media review, industry updates, key contact research and networking events.

New business support will be required and supported by contacting new prospects, selling the concept and securing initial meetings plus attending new sales pitches/meetings and negotiations.

Responsibilities

* Propose, build and lead a new business strategy
* Proactively research new sales prospects across a number of sectors, ensuring the correct person is targeted
* Develop a customer database and ensure it is effectively maintained, with support of sales managers
* Secure New Business sales through a professional network of high-level contacts, both local and national, via customer meetings, telephone sales and e-targeting.
* Managing and developing new business collateral. To include credentials, introductory presentations, agency promotional material.
* You will be responsible for the growth and management of social media channels to ensure communication plans are strong and relevant
* Attend both pitch meetings and applicable capabilities meetings
* strategically guiding RFPs through the agency in an efficient, timely and motivating fashion, building and growing close-knit relationship with clients and a rapport as a trusted and accountable leader with the creative, production and design teams
* Continually monitor your clients` businesses; stay up-to-date one what`s happening in their world and share that information with the wider team
* Become educated on industry trends; actively seek out information and consistently share with the wider team
