The Client

Our client are a highly established successful business who offers a full range of services to cover every aspect of landscape construction and maintenance.

The company goal is to provide the highest levels of service and help the customers realise the full creative possibilities of modern landscaping.

They specialise in the commercial sector and with their centrally located Head Office and Nursery adjacent to the motorway network, operate throughout the UK.

The company offer a complete landscaping service that includes everything from ecology considerations, design and installation to aftercare and maintenance, providing a bespoke solution for their client`s requirements.

The business are currently looking to recruit a Landscape Construction Contracts Manager with significant experience of large commercial contracts. You will be required to manage a portfolio of contracts in and around the Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Huntington areas.

The Role

The Contracts Manager is a key role within the management team of the company reporting directly to the Managing Director. You will be responsible for the management of contracts, encompassing contract performance, delivery of contract objectives, client relationships, people management, safety conformance and financial performance.

As a Contracts Manager your key experience and responsibilities include:

Procure and manage labour resources to achieve maximum efficiency

Ensure that health and safety, quality environmental systems are complied with

Ensure safe working methods are adopted and enforced at all times

Have a good knowledge of landscaping operations on large commercial sites

Be able to complete the required construction documentation in either electronic or paper form

Self-motivated and be able to work efficiently without supervision

Be a good communicator

Assist in the production on RAMS

Attend internal and external meetings as required

Approachable manner when dealing with clients, strong relationship building skills

Highly motivated

Excellent communication skills at all levels including verbal, written and presentation

Previous Knowledge and ExperienceExtensive Contract Management knowledge and experience

Experience within the landscape construction industry

Good working knowledge of HandS requirements

SMSTS and CSCS an advantage

Competent computer user in particular MS Excel and Microsoft Word

Full UK driving licence
