My client, UK`s largest award winning News Publisher is looking to hire two mid-level Data Scientists to join a team of talented data scientists, data engineers, analysts and product managers to help develop their data platform, create user-facing products, and build analytics tools that democratise access to data within the company.
They are looking for someone who will proactively ask questions, create deep actionable insights, visualise data and build models for all aspects of their digital business with the diverse data from the publishers many digital properties. You will have a bias toward action, an eye for interesting questions, and a collaborative streak.

Their network of over 70 websites provide 24/7 coverage of news, sport and showbiz stories, with 8.1 billion page views per year.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage and mentor a fast-moving team of data scientists working on data platform and data products
Collaborate with members of the data products team as well as teams across product and engineering to identify and deliver highest impact innovative user-driven data products using data science and machine learning
Provide feedback and input into technical and product designs
Actively influence the roadmaps for the product teams to make data culture an integral part of the digital group
The Ideal Candidate
An advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, physics, operations research, or related area
Extensive experience on deploying products that are production ready
Experience creating NLP / DL / RNN models to extract insights, create features and provide recommendations, mixing content and user data
Experience with Image Processing and CNNs (Desirable)
Experience applying quantitative methods to real world problems
Experience with Python, and libraries like scipy, scikit-learn and pandas/numpy
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
Experience with NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch
Experience with modern data processing frameworks like Spark
Experience with streaming technologies such as Spark/Akka Streams
Ideally we looking for a Data Scientist with natural language processing, recommender systems, frameworks, tensorflow, pytorch, or Keras.
