The Client
Our client offer an diverse range of support to adults and children through their schools, care homes, children`s homes, community and social work services and social enterprise. They work at the heart of some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. The company strive to generate interest, awareness and understanding of issues around poverty and Social welfare and the impact of this on our wider communities.
Our clients school is a very special school. They offer a wide variety of educational provision for a diverse group of pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions and emotional and social difficulties. All of the pupils have an EHCP.
The Role
The company are proud to offer the opportunity for a driven and passionate individual to join their dedicated team. This role will form part of the Senior Leadership team within the school and will be integral to the succession of the school. The successful candidate will be expected to be creative and innovative and drive improvements within education.
You will provide strategic leadership and direction regarding the teaching and learning ethics within the school and to meet targets within the business plan. You will have 3 years` experience within a leadership role with a strong ability to lead a large staff team. The successful candidate will have experience leading Ofsted inspections with a minimum of a `Good` outcome.
Responsibilities within this role will also include the development of the staff to ensure they can complete their roles to the highest standard, to identify targets for the pupils so that they can achieve and make progress with their learning and continue to drive the vision of the school.

Previous Knowledge and ExperienceQualifications Essential:
Educated to degree level and a qualified teacher
Desirable:
Substantive post graduate study and/or qualification
Experience and Knowledge Essential
Minimum of three years` successful leadership in a sole capacity in a specialist environment for learners who present challenging behaviours
Minimum of three years` leadership of staff teams delivering academic or welfare provision
Substantive experience of self-evaluation and action planning procedures.
Experience of leading Ofsted inspections in a learning environment resulting in at least `good` outcomes
A minimum of three years` experience in managing staff, including all aspects of Human Resource related issues.
Experience of safeguarding learners in a learning environment
Experience of working within a multi-agency framework and holistic therapeutic case management and review.
Experience of managing statutory reviews and PEPs
