Our client are a renowned law firm in Hampshire, providing legal services to their clients. They are seeking a Wills and Probate Fee Earner to join their wills and probate team.

The Role:

You will undertake Fee earning work in the Probate department allocated by the probate Partner in accordance with procedures and quality standards contained in their office manual and policies. You will provide legal advice and assistance to Private clients.

Requirements :

* Previous experience in a similar role dealing with a caseload of Probate, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Estate Administration
* Experience in the drafting of Wills and LPAS


Duties:

* Preparing client care letters and draft wills, completion of Lasting Powers of Attorney and general administration
* You will be attending client meetings, completing file notes, file opening, initial client compliance checks,
* Administration of probate work - co-ordinating collection of assets/identifying liabilities, preparation of oaths and applications for grants.
* Dealing with client enquiries in person and by telephone and email, making appointments, updating clients and co-ordinating fee earners diary, costs updates and dealing with aged debts
* You will meet with clients and take initial instructions.
* Ensuring that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
* Ensure the confidentiality and security of all documentation and information of the practice and clients.
* Achieving agreed levels of billing and time recording.
