A reputable Ship Management company based in the UK is currently recruiting for a Fleet Manager for their London office.
Reporting into the Deputy General Manager, the Fleet Manager manages all aspects of the day to day technical management and customer faced activities of the team, including budget development, financial monitoring, variance explanation, maintenance & repair, operational, navigational, cargo / ballast handling and mooring related activities in the carriage and transfer of LNG.
Other responsibilities will include;
- Developing monthly reports for the DGM and other departments on team activities.
- Working with Team members and Fleet Service Group to develop changes in plans to take advantage of opportunities to correct performance.
- Continually monitoring grouping of team vessels and officer allocation.
- Monitoring dry docking and shipyard activities and ensuring team members take required actions.
- Working with task forces - continuous improvement, shore training, customer relations, manning / sea training - to ensure full input and commitment.
- Providing technical budgets for vessels.
To be considered for this position, you must have sailed as a Chief Engineer on board LNG Carriers and have previous shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent in a Ship Management company at a Supervisory level.
You must have the right to live and work in the UK.
