International Territory Manager


Salary: GBP 50,000 OTE 65k

They provide innovative chemistry equipment for safer, cleaner, greener, and more productive chemical research. Their largest customers are in the academic, pharmaceutical, biotech, agrochemical, chemical, and fine chemical markets. They sell directly in the UK and internationally via a network of distributors

The Role:

We have an opportunity for an experienced International Sales professional to help maintain the existing business and channels and develop further the export sales via a network of international distributors in Europe, with a small responsibility for the Middle East and Africa.

Role Responsibilities:

* Maintain and develop sales to meet your territory forecasts and target profit margins.
* Regular contact and visits to distributors throughout the territory
* Commercial discussions regarding performance and objectives against the Distributor Charter.
* Distributor training and technical support.
* Joint sales visits to end-users.
* Implementing scheme for management of distributors
* Maintenance of accurate records, visit reports, prospect lists and data via salesforce
* Preparation of distributor sales/support/training collateral/presentations/webinars
* Delivery of training/sales/technical/customer presentations, talks, webinars, demonstrations online or on-site
* Maintain market awareness of competitor activity and other distributor opportunities.
* Identify marketing needs and assist in support and delivery.
* Reporting and maintaining sales and reporting KPI`s.
* Regular overseas travel to meet distributors and end-users, including some weekends
* Reporting to the Global Sales Manager

Essential Skills and Requirements:

Experience of distributor or channel management.

Experience of instrument and capital sales.

Commercial knowledge of the pharmaceutical, biotech, agrochemical, chemical, fine chemical and academic markets and key accounts within the territory.

Technical understanding of the equipment and techniques used in chemical synthesis, process development, work-up and evaporation.

Graduate chemist, chemical engineer or with suitable scientific/technical background.

Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.

Daily role encompasses regular use of Word, ACT, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Language skills strongly preferred.

Self-motivated, well organised and an experienced instrument sales professional
Have a clear understanding and experience of distributor/channel management.
Have a science background and experience of laboratory instrument sales.
