Intersystems Caché Developer, Central London - x-training provided from any OO language, £40k-£70K + excellent benefits.
Prestigious institution based in central London is recruiting for a Caché Objects Developer to join the development team within their Data Strategy Programme. The team is a data hub for enterprise data and derived or complex data services.
Candidates with a background in object oriented development toolsets but eager to learn Caché Objects will be considered.
SQL Developers (e.g. Oracle / Sql Server experts) who are interested in cross-training into a multi-model dbms and object oriented development are of interest also.

Responsibilities include:
• Developing high-quality solutions in accordance with coding standards
• Producing technical documentation
• Estimating individual items of work
• Working with Business Analysts to clarify requirements when necessary
• Working with Solution and Data Architects and Platform Development Lead to design solutions
• Working with other developers in a collaborative manner both within and across different work-streams, projects and programmes
• Working with QA Analysts and users to assist with QA and UAT testing of delivered solutions
• Providing third line support for delivered solutions
Required Skillset:
Essential:
• Must have good understanding of object-oriented design principles or be a SQL Developer interested in cross-training into a multi-model dbms and OO development
Desired:
• Proven track record of developing with Caché Objects and Caché SQL
• Expert level user of Caché Objectscript programming language
• Strong SQL skills and experience of query performance tuning
• Automated Unit Testing
• XML and web services (Soap / JSON).
Non-Essential:
• Familiarity with vc/m change management toolset
• UML
• Javascript and JS based frameworks (e.g. Sencha extjs)
• Java
• EAI tools (e.g. JBOSS SOA-P)
