GBP 50 to GBP 55k

My client, a legal Insurance services company is looking for an organised IT Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time and in budget, and to meet the projects objectives and has the ability to deliver projects in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

The company are the leading providers of legal and handling services to the UK general insurance sector. Currently they provide specialist services to 12 of the UK`s 20 largest motor insurers in areas such as counter fraud, costs, credit hire, defendant services, large and complex injury and recoveries.

The basic purpose of the job and its primary objectives:

This is a key role in the Project Office Team at the firm; the team has a critical position in the business to support the continued growth of the firm, and build upon their reputation in the industry based on their proven success with their clients. This role will support the firms strategy which is to continue to recruit and develop the best people to maintain their culture of entrepreneurial partnership, innovation and market insight.

The main objectives of the role include (but are not limited to) the following:

Ensure projects are delivered on time and in budget, and met the projects objectives
Scope and deliver business cases and project plans, including benefits identification and realisation, and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
Conduct and respond to risk assessments and business impact assessments
Identify, coordinate and manage internal and external suppliers and stakeholders
Ensure budget and resources are appropriately allocated and controlled
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects
Plan, coordinate and deliver testing and implementation of projects
Produce project status reports for stakeholders
Produce and maintain high quality and contemporaneous documentation
Liaise with the full project team, IT, LandD, operational and financial departments
Conduct lessons learned reviews and actively support continuous improvement

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

Candidates must be organised, analytical and innovative, with strong negotiation, diplomacy and interpersonal skills. A sound commercial awareness and ability to work to tight deadlines, anticipate and react to change is essential.
Extensive project management experience using industry standard good practice such as Prince2 and Agile
Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
It Project Delivery - IT Change, Software, Infrastructure, Applications or integration
Strong stakeholder management experience
Ability to deliver projects in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
To define, plan, direct and deliver projects to time, cost and quality objectives
Experience in overseeing a multi work-stream programme with numerous phases and functions
Experience managing and delivering cross departmental
