Manager, Mobility and Transport - Brussels (Belgium)

Salary: : 60,000 - 66,000/year Dependant on experience

The Company

The company represents the regulatory and related interests of the tyre and rubber manufacturers at both the European and international level. It is involved in continuous dialogue with EU and international institutions, national agencies and other industry sectors.

As the voice of tyre and rubber goods producers, its activities focus on representing, communicating and promoting the industry to policymakers, as well as providing technical advice for its members.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

* Provide support in technical and strategic analyses
* Provide regulatory assistance on EU (smart) Mobility and Transport policies that impact the tyre industry
* Drive interaction with mentioned policies at EU, UN and national levels.


Responsibilities:

* Coordinate Industry Working Groups and provide support in technical and strategic analysis (of regulatory initiatives), as well as developing of positions on mobility and transport policy related dossiers;
* Chair and steer industry discussions with a view to building and promoting joint positions;
* Provide technical, regulatory and strategic guidance on relevant initiatives in the EU and Member States;
* Represent the organisation to the European Institutions and other stakeholders, including Expert Groups;
* Report directly to the Secretary General


Essential Skills and Requirements:

* Good knowledge of the European automotive sector, preferably from regulatory and technical perspective, especially on connected and automated mobility and transport emissions
* Strong project management, leadership and organization skills;
* Used to a fast-paced environment with demanding timelines;
* Preferable engineering or science background with a solid understanding of EU policymaking procedures;
* 5-7 years of experience in a similar or in the automotive sector would be an asset;
* Excellent writing skills, including on complex technical issues; Fluency in English
* Accountable and flexible team player
