Manufacturing Engineer - System Configuration

Superb opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer with defining and configuring system BOM
skills to work for a high-technology manufacturing company developing complex, high-value equipment for the semiconductor industry. This is a rapidly growing company with a bulging order book for their World-class products so you can expect lots of fascinating projects, loads of variety and superb career progression.
Responsibilities:
* Taking customer orders and configurating the system design and BOM`s to meet the requirements, generating appropriate documentation including designs, CAD models, installation documents and packing lists.
* Working closely with purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and production departments, developing designs to increase productivity, and providing sales support.
* Supporting the operations manager and manufacturing team regarding the internal manufacture and outsourcing, coordinating the change management activities.
The Candidate
* Degree ( BEng or MEng ) in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or similar/equivalent qualification/experience
* Proven recent and relevant manufacturing engineering experience, including defining and configuring system BOM.
* Ideally some knowledge of generating system CAD models
* 3D CAD design experience (ideally ProE / Creo or Solidworks or similar)
* Experience in vacuum systems, pneumatics, gas systems, automation an advantage.
* Professional registration with a relevant Engineering body encouraged and preferred.
* PC literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Accurate, thorough, consistent, pro-active, assertive but definitely a team player
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills.
Location: rural Cambridgeshire - commutable from Cambridge, Huntington, Peterborough, Bedford, Wellingborough, Newmarket, etc).
Working conditions: Normally a day shift role, with flexibility required. Some travel will be expected.
