If you would like to work for an established business who are forward thinking and invest in on-going R&D, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Manager who wants to have a significant impact on a leading company.

The purpose of this role is to lead and develop the manufacturing function in order to enable the effective planning and running of the operations, meeting the needs of customers in terms of quality and delivery. The Manufacturing Manager will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence by embedding a customer-focused culture, ensuring consistent and rigorous application across the business, in line with best practice.

Duties
*Ensures safe, compliant, efficient and effective operation of the manufacturing site and production processes
*Actively promotes a safety culture where personnel adhere to safe work practices & standard operating procedures.
*Enthusiastically leads, manages and motivates the team of Production Team Leaders, Engineers and manufacturing staff in the delivery of consistently high standards of product quality, operational excellence, and customer service.
*Developing and executing the manufacturing strategy to maximise operational effectiveness.
*Ensuring facilities and equipment are qualified, calibrated and maintained
*Establishing and reporting on appropriate measurement tools and performance indicators
*Ensure a quick and pragmatic resolution to any issues which may affect production effectiveness and product quality.
*Developing, delivering and supporting the delivery of business improvement initiatives.
*Acting as a champion for improving product quality and systems and developing process controls.
*Ensuring any needs/investments in relation to manufacturing are identified and supported by the appropriate business case.
*Training, developing and coaching staff
*Ensuring costs are minimised through the best possible utilisation of plant, equipment, staff and consumable purchases.
