Marine Consultant (Master Mariner) - Hong Kong

Marine Consultant (Master Mariner) - Hong Kong - Permanent - £70,000-£90,000
Due to planned expansion, an International Marine Consultancy is seeking to recruit a Marine Consultant for their Hong Kong office.
The successful candidate will be a Master Mariner with a Class 1 Certificate of Competency. Command experience sailing on a variety of vessels is preferred. Chief Officers with shore based experience with a Marine Consultancy or Ship Management Company will also be considered.
Work will typically include:
- Carrying out surveys on all types of vessels and other marine craft including offshore units within China and South East Asia;
- Carrying out investigations in the event of a marine incident or cargo damage or disputes (must be able to travel at short notice within China and South East Asia);
- Provide expert marine advice to marine insurance and legal interests;
- Provide expert reports and give expert evidence in court and arbitration disputes.
