An opportunity to join a growing Sales & Marketing team within a well established, niche insurance provider based in the City of London. This role will involve the development of Legal Indemnity business and therefore experience in this class of Insurance and the range of products available is preferred. Candidates applying from outside of the Legal Indemnities sector will be considered however, subject to having gained an understanding of the class.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for:

• Meeting agreed premium targets and achieving year on year new business revenue growth through organic growth of existing clients as well as identifying and securing profitable new revenue through prospective clients.
• Acting as a relationship manager for designated clients, in collaboration with the Underwriters, ensuring quotations are followed up on, either directly or through the Underwriter.
• Ensuring any business quoted for which is not won, is followed up on, and providing detailed reports and/or feedback
• Being responsive and innovative in approach to identifying new markets for the company’s products.
• Working alongside the Marketing team to raise the company profile.
• Networking and keeping abreast of trends, news, events and deadlines, so that all possible new or enhanced opportunities are identified and translated into sales.

Candidates interested in applying for this role must be able to demonstrate:

• Insurance development experience which has involved working within a busy, sales focussed environment and has included field sales
• Ability to effectively build and manage a pipeline of opportunities simultaneously.
• Experience of constructing and delivering high-quality presentations and communications.
• Excellent customer service skills, with strong and effective negotiation and influencing skills to engage customers in order to maximise risk placement and income.
• Commercial approach, with a willingness to challenge, and be challenged, in a positive and constructive manner.
