Background

Based in the Midlands, our client is an ambitious and expanding Facilities Management company which is seeking to appoint an Operations Director to join their Senior Leadership team.

Applications are invited from candidates with extensive Soft Services experience gained within relevant Senior positions within the FM sector.

The portfolio of activities associated with this position currently generates GBP 25m in annual turnover and the aim is to increase turnover significantly against agreed targets within the next 3-years.

To be successful in this role the post-holder will need to have extensive experience in operating at a senior level within the commercial cleaning sector. This is a Board level position working alongside other Directors accountable for Finance and Commercial, Sales and Business Development. Reporting to the Managing Director, the post-holder will be a highly focused and diligent leader with a winning mentality. The overarching responsibility of the role is to drive business growth and effectively manage the service delivery of all elements of commercial cleaning and related services to the standards of expertise and customer service that we maintain within our business.

The Role

In the course of carrying out this role the post holder will:

* Develop and deliver an annual operational plan and associated budget with the aim of achieving agreed targets and provide periodic management reports as required.
* Adopt accountability for the profitable delivery of all cleaning services operations across the UK and the retention of clients through industry leading service delivery.
* Build and develop a strong operational and support team capable of delivering the business plan whilst maintaining exceptional standards of service.
* Lead and Manage the Soft Services team and supply chain vendors ensuring all individuals are hitting targets and KPIs set by the Senior Management team.
* Critically sift and analyse data to understand business issues and construct solutions to continually drive effectiveness and efficiency.
* Confidently present ideas internally and externally to win endorsement to their ideas for improvement and secure long term profitable new business.
* Show a clear grasp of commercial matters such as bid writing, estimating, contract, procurement and debt management.
* Have first-hand experience of helping to embed newly acquired businesses into an organisation.
* Drive existing company process and associated systems integration whilst using initiative and appropriate degrees of flexibility when required to ensure the delivery of the Company`s strategic intent, enhancement of client
