Private Client Tax Manager - Oxford

Salary: GBP 45,000 - GBP 65,000

The Company:

Our client was established in the early 1900`s to help businesses, charities and individuals. They offer a wide range of services including accounting, audit, business insolvency, bookkeeping, HR advice, payroll management, personal and business tax planning, personal financial planning, corporate finance and company secretarial services.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the compliance and advisory requirements of a number of Private Client Individuals. You will be providing general tax planning to the Firm`s clients along with tax advisory projects with the Associate Tax Director and Tax Partner.

Role Responsibilities:

* Managing a compliance portfolio of mainly personal and some partnership tax returns to include monitoring of billing and work in progress
* Meeting and liaising with clients and professionals and potential clients to discuss tax affairs
* Assist in the review of tax returns prepared by more junior members of staff
* Managing a team of tax associates and tax seniors
* Involvement in the training of junior members of staff
* Involvement in the tax planning issues including Capital Taxes
* Liaise proactively with clients on advisory matters
* Assist in marketing Private Client taxation services with the Associate Tax Director and partners


Essential Skills and Requirements:

* Qualified tax professional- ATT, CTA, ACCA, ACA (or similar), or qualified by experience
* Minimum 5 years` experience in dealing with personal tax issues
* Knowledge of trusts taxation (beneficial but not essential)
* Good IT skills
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work well under pressure
