My client, an international leading manufacturing company based in Birmingham, is recruiting for a Production Manager to join their rapidly expanding company.

The Production Manager has the responsibility to ensure that all key operating and quality factors are met with regard to quality and output. Working under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will drive change and make a significant impact by leading the production team 'to be better every day'. To motivate, inspire and engage the Production workforce by creating a positive environment which allows employees to realise their full potential by supporting their continuous development.

Your role will include:
- As an overriding priority, to provide a safe working environment for all employees and promote site safety through education and engagement of employees and creation of safety programmes.
- Develop, maintain, create and communicate departmental safety action plans to ensure all employees
- To develop, execute and deliver on an operating budget covering all aspects of operating performance targets.
- Ensure budget targets are met in respect of production performance - production output, raw material usage, machine clothing, labour costs, etc.
- To work alongside the Engineering team to direct the maintenance function to identify and implement any modifications that will improve the Mills' profitability and productivity.
- Encourage new ideas to be developed and ensure they are implemented efficiently.
- To Introduce Lean Manufacturing Techniques to improve problem solving within Production.
