Location: Dalry, North Ayrshire
Salary: GBP 35,000 - GBP 50,000 per annum BOE
The Client:
Our client is a market leader in Waste Management and Aggregates company with a strong ethos to provide environmentally friendly disposal. They recycle almost everything that`s collected to help contribute making the world a cleaner and safer environment.
The Role:
They are currently looking to recruit a Quarry Manager on a permanent full-time basis, this role is based on one of their sites in Dalry.
Duties:
* Issue Permits to work and Site Inductions
* Provide regular reports to the directors on plant maintenance costs
* Assist with all accident and near miss reports onsite
* Look to improve the costing of the Quarry.
* Oversee time management of plant and vehicles fuel usage.
Candidates Must Have:
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Excellent understanding of the Quarries Regulation 1999
* Completed, or be working towards, a SHE NVQ Level 6 qualification or equivalent.
* Good knowledge of all aspects of sand and gravel quarry operations, extraction, and restoration.
* Sound knowledge of blasting operations, crushing and screening, and maintenance activities
* Technical knowledge of fixed and mobile Plant.
* Excellent awareness of current Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation.
* Be comfortable driving the business at an operational level to deliver daily operational targets.
* Flexible, proactive approach to establish high standards of work performance.
