RAF Instructor

RAF INSTRUCTOR - LINCOLNSHIRE - CONTRACT - 6 MONTHS - £300-350PD

My client provides training on cutting edge technology to the RAF across several sites in Lincolnshire, they are seeking a Suitably Qualified Experienced Person (SQEP) instructor for delivery of on-contract WSOP training course. Individual required to build capability to develop and deliver training.

Role Activities:
- Refresh existing course materials, designing lessons that are currently very heavily PowerPoint focused into more interactive instructor led lessons, under direction of the existing team.
- Write practical exercise scenarios to expose students to the role a WSOP would fulfil in a modern RF environment. Exercises will be conducted through simulation. Support for writing and designing the exercises will be provided by existing team.
- Enter data into Excel Spreadsheet to enable 'database search' lesson to be conducted.
- Deliver course material to students at RAF Cranwell over 6 week period. Support and fellow instructors (2) will be provided by existing Team

Knowledge & Experience:
- UK Aircrew flying brevet and experience on any frontline military platform for >5years (i.e. not a trainee).
- Instructional experience of delivering training courses to adults.
- Electronic Warfare (EW) and Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) knowledge and experience in the Air Domain.
- Knowledge of AP3456, ISR Primer, AJP 2.7, AP3002 and AP3000 and their contents.

Essential:
- Recognised training qualification (Cert Ed,QFI,DTTTC,AIC,PTLLS etc.)
- Military experience within last 15 years.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) methodology knowledge.

Ideal:
- Military experience within last 5 years, including operational experience in Iraq or Afghanistan.
- Experience programming the BSi software MACE.
- Expert ability to program Excel and PowerPoint.
- Designed new courseware.
- Written new lessons.
- Written support course documentation.
- Degree level knowledge of applied Maths and Physics
