The Company
Our client is a not-for profit organisation dedicated to providing high quality patient centred healthcare.
They currently provide a wide range of community and secure environment services for vulnerable groups across the North of England, and have recently been awarded an NHS contract to provide healthcare services into several prisons within the North East.
The Role
Regional Lead GP
An exciting, new and unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced GP who is passionate about primary care and healthcare innovation. This will be a substantive full-time post attracting the benefits of NHS employment including NHS pension and time served enhancements.
As Regional Lead GP, you will be a key stakeholder responsible for ensuring delivery of a collaborative and integrative health care model alongside Heads of Healthcare and leaders from Her Majesty`s Prisons to a diverse population with multiple and complex needs.
You will lead an integrated team of medical personnel across the several sites working with specialist partners from mental health, substance misuse and allied therapies all of whom will operate under the universal brand of `Reconnected to Health`
Previous experience working within secure environments, whilst desirable is not essential as full induction and training will be provided. More critical to this post is the alignment of values to those of the organisation and personal and professional attributes of compassionate leadership, encompassingan enthusiasm for the delivery of clinically effective, evidence based, high quality, equitable community care and a desire to innovate and support new ways of working as part of a transformative integrated provider team.
Your time will be divided between clinical care provision and operational/clinical leadership. Based in Darlington but working across 7 sites you will be responsible for overseeing the professional operations and development of GP and ANP clinical services.
You will be part of a highly skilled partnership of allied professionals forming an expert multidisciplinary team.
Key partners and stakeholders will include Nursing, Substance Misuse, Medical, Pharmacy, Mental Health, Psychosocial Recovery, Palliative Care, Remote Clinical Care Team, Quality, Digital and Performance supporting the regional model of place-based care.
As Regional Lead GP, you will be supported and supervised by the Associate Medical Director and have access to continuing professional development in support of appraisal and revalidation through our GP forum.
In addition, there is access to specialist research and educational supervision opportunities through our Research Directorate and medical education departments
