Senior Internal Auditor -Contract/FTC
London/Agile - London, South East
Contract Internal Auditor
Salary: circa £65-75000 - may consider day rate.
Our client is looking for a seasoned professional within the Internal Audit function, to undertake a 12- month project whilst the business integrates an acquisition.
Have you the experience and ability to:
• Provide an independent appraisal activity over the adequacy of the Group's audit/internal control environment.
• Monitor compliance with Group policies, procedures, directions and appropriate legislation.
• Produce accurate, reliable and timely reports to management for all GIA activities.
• Assist in the continuously improvement over quality and effectiveness of GIA activities.
• Establish a partnership with management that adds value to the business.
• Assist with the identification of material risks that could prevent the Company from achieving its objectives.
• Assist the Executive in the achievement of meeting Corporate Governance requirements.
• Promote effective control at reasonable cost throughout the Group's operations.
• Previous experience in using interrogation software (ACL) would be a distinct advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proven ability to interact with tact, diplomacy and effectively with people at all levels, including the Board.
• Ability to:
o Observe, assimilate, and rapidly understand business processes.
o Follow instructions accurately and efficiently; proactive in asking clarifying questions to ensure work effort is directed wholly toward the desired outcome.
o Identify sensitive issues and facilitate communications in a proactive manner to avoid surprises.
• Excellent report writing skills underpinned by the ability to clearly and succinctly draft review findings and make pragmatic, practical recommendations to produce ‘impactful’ reports.
• Project a confident and self-assured image.
• Ability to work solo and function effectively under pressure.
• Strong follow-up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meeting deadlines and commitments.
• Aptitude to contribute to the development of the department
This is a crucial area for the business, and you must come from a background with exposure to this specialist area. Exposure to construction/home sector/Financial services.
You will have experience working closely with stakeholders in the business, be able to work without supervision and have relevant project management experience.
