Senior Reinsurance Asset Handler

Market leading Insurer and Reinsurer is looking for a Senior Reinsurance Asset Handler to join their Reinsurance Asset Management Team.

The Outwards Reinsurance Asset Management (RAM) team is responsible for all operational aspects of outwards reinsurance including treaty set up, recoveries, cash allocation, credit control, reporting, broker communications and reconciliations.

Th key purpose of role is the Management of the post placement activities for Group’s Reinsurance programme(s) from end to end and will have close links with Outwards Reinsurance (OWRI) Purchasing, Claims, Finance and other operations functions to ensure a seamless and co-ordinated approach throughout.

Specific Responsibilities will include:

• Strive for high quality data and ‘right first time’ OWRI contract set up within the core reinsurance and Policy administration systems with controls in place to ensure this is met.
• Manage the calculation and booking allocations of Premiums, Premium Adjustments, Reinstatement Premiums, Profit Commission & NCB etc within core policy admin systems.
• Support the continued development of the Outwards RI Target Operating Model, working to establish consistent best practice and ensure the company are “leaders” in outwards RI operations.
• Proactively “make things better” for key Outwards RI processes, keeping things simple where possible for RAM and key stakeholders.
• Establish KPI’s for processes and reporting, ensuring these are met for monthly/quarterly/annual requirements where applicable including compliance with the RAM team month/quarter end deadline requirements.
• Lead and develop other members of the RAM team focussed on key OWRI processes.
• Support the team to ensure accurate calculation of reinsurance recoveries, issuance and monitoring of reinsurance claims collection notes per contract terms and conditions for XOL, facultative and quota share covers.
• Assist with chasing aging debt, cash entry and application process for all ceded contracts and classes of business.
• Liaise with key stakeholders such as the OWRI Placement team, Underwriting & Claims departments, brokers, and other Internal/external clients to resolve queries .
• Perform analytical review and provide Interpretation of OWRI results for the OWRI contracts for relevant working groups or committees.
• Review and evaluate the utilisation of latest technology to maximize efficiency of the ceded reinsurance department and Internal stakeholder collaborations to ensure end to end process efficiency

We welcome applications for candidates with extensive Insurance and specifically Reinsurance experience gained with the London company and/or Lloyd's Syndicate market. In addition, some management / supervisory experience would be highly beneficial.
