My client, as award winning Publishing House based in London, is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with comprehensive knowledge of the Tableau platform.

This role is based predominantly at home and some travel to London is needed once they return to a new `normal`.

The successful candidate will join a business intelligence workstream within the Customer Data Platform. Customer Data Platform team is a part of the Digital Product and Engineering department.

The team is tasked to build a data platform which brings multiple customer data silos together and build Single View of the Customer for many use cases, such as management reporting, analytics, enhancements in commercial processes, digital product user journeys, etc.

Responsibilities

The role requires a comprehensive knowledge of the Tableau platform from both the front end and back end perspectives. It would be expected that as a senior developer you would have an understanding of deploying Tableau as an enterprise BI platform.

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer would be expected to have a solid background in business intelligence reporting to varying levels within an organisation, excellent communication skills are vital for this role. The ability to work as part of a team or as an independent resource is required to be able deliver against the set of requirements put forth by the business.

As a Senior BI Developer, the following skills are essential:

Strong knowledge of Tableau, developing dashboards in line with business requirements.

Strong SQL skills, able to write advanced queries to join tables and create views of curated data for use by other teams.

Strong business acumen in customer relationship management (CRM) field.

Experience of working with big B2C customer related data, i.e. engagement, acquisition, churn, average revenue per customer etc.

Experience with Agile and project delivery methodologies.

Thinks clearly and calmly under pressure

Investigates problems to establish real or hidden causes
