My client, an award-winning Publishing House, is looking for a talented Technical SEO Specialist to work on a wide range of projects across the group. This role is key to continuing the growth in natural search traffic for Agency
This position will involve a mixture of home working and office working in one of our hubs local to you, but currently the entire company is full remote so this wouldnt be expected for a while

Their network of over 75 websites provides 24/7 coverage of news, sport and showbiz stories, with 8.7 billion page views per year.
Job Introduction
Working closely with the SEO team, data engineers, and the wider product team,
the successful candidate will have experience auditing websites, a strong understanding of SEO and experience using leading auditing tools. Experience with large websites or in media/publishing would be an advantage.
Reports to the Head of SEO. Works with Content Editors and Product Leads.
Key Responsibilities
Specialist level role that sits within Product department
Focuses on brand websites and performs regular SEO audits and make informed recommendations based on findings
Report and present results and suggestions on a regular basis, with a focus on measuring success of suggestions in terms of rankings or traffic
Work with other parts of the business and ensure that all existing and proposed developments from the Product and Engineering team comply with SEO best practices
Work with the Technical SEO, Head of SEO and Developers to create monitoring programmes which identify technical issues as they arise
Support the creation, testing, launch and validation of whole and partial- site migrations
Check and improve existing site assets such as XML feeds, Sitemaps, Robots.txt
Configure and manage Google Search Console properties
Stay abreast of industry trends and new developments, and continuously
improve technical SEO best practice across our sites
Qualifications and Experience
Experience using a range of SEO tools for auditing purposes.
Experience crawling large sites and log analysis is advantageous.
Experience with Google Analytics, Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
At least a basic understanding of key web technologies, including HTML, Javascript and CSS.
Strong and detailed understanding of SEO and the factors that contribute to success in search. Experience in media/publishing would be an advantage.
Strong analytical thought process and ability to communicate with non technical stakeholders, as well as developers, and recommend a course of action.
Ability to audit and identify technical issues across large sites, and make informed
