An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Test and Validation Engineer to join one of the leading motorcycle manufacturers, The main purpose of this role is to help them to introduce new and exciting automotive technologies across their range of motor vehicles.

Responsibilities:

* You will be reviewing Systems Requirements for testability.
* Creating test specifications and test cases for motorcycle electrical components and systems (Suspension control, Chassis control, Lighting, Instruments, Connectivity, Keyless systems, ARAS systems etc).
* Mapping systems requirements to test artefacts within the PREEVision MBSE toolchain.
* Creating test plans for control systems and instruments (HMI).
* Creating and modifying CANOE environments, and automated test scripts in VTestStudio.
* Executing automated black box tests and collating and analyse the results.
* Executing manual system-level tests
* Documenting and tracking issues found during testing and creating periodic test reports to show progress.
* Raising bugs in defect resolution software (JIRA / Redmine).
* Analysing of HIL test data and reports.
* Continuous improvement to advance design procedures, best practices, efficiency improvements and test structures etc.


Requirements:

Essential:

* BEng in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent relevant subject.
* HND in relevant subject and relevant experience.
* Proficient in Systems test and validation, Manual / Automated Test case generation, Detailed Knowledge of CAN communication and familiarity with tools such as CANalyser / CANoe / vTEST Studio (or similar).
* Proficient in Microsoft packages including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent troubleshooting skills
* Script development e.g. CAPL, Python, Perl (or similar).
* Experience with defect resolution tools (e.g. JIRA).



Desirable:

* Working towards being a charted engineer, ISTQB (Preferably Automotive Software Tester).
* Previous experience of working within an automotive environment. Modelling (UML / SYSML), requirements capture / management. Experience with PREEvision, Experience with dSPACE tools
* Experience in closed loop testing. Experience with Software development (C, C or similar).
* Familiar with plant modelling concepts using Matlab/Simulink.
