The Company
My Client isan award winning veterinary referral animal hospital in Bradbury in the north of England. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join their team as a Veterinary Sonographer. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Veterinary Sonographer or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. They will be enthusiastic and passionate as well as HCPC registered to join my clients specialist veterinary team.
The Role
Full training will be given by experienced veterinary sonographers with the support of the hospital`s ECVDI residency-trained diagnostic imager.
The majority of scans will be abdominal surveys of cats and dogs, however neck ultrasound, and point of care scans will also be required.
The work of a veterinary sonographer is very different to scanning in human medicine with emphasis on different anatomy, technique and pathophysiology. Pet owners are never present during scans - this is a non-client-facing role.
Once competent, alongside day-to-day scanning you will be required to:
Support basic ultrasound training for veterinary interns and residents.
Provide support to the multi-disciplinary team for ultrasound-related matters
Applicants must be highly motivated, proactive and passionate about delivering clinical excellence, with excellent social and clinical skills. This is ideally a full-time role, though applications are welcomed from both part time and full-time applicants.
