Our client cover everything from Managing Agent activities to Refrigeration, MandE, HVAC and Drainage install and maintenance, supported by specialist Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE), Contract Management, Compliance and Procurement departments.

Role

The IT Architect is responsible for designing, validating and providing subject matter expertise and governance on infrastructure design/business system solutions ensuring that information security best practice standards are applied in removing and/or reducing the business risks. The overall accountability of this role is to develop our architecture capability by leveraging technology that will create exceptional business value. This role will cover all domains of architecture.

Accountabilities

Review current infrastructure, business systems, tools and recommend the target IT architecture and systems for a growing business
Develop and maintain technology roadmaps, delivering cost effective business solutions always
Act as a design authority and provide an assurance role, ensuring that all architecture activities are consistent with standards and policies
Act as a technical lead in product and vendor selection, providing technical evaluation of products/services and supporting the business case
Identifying security, technical risks and problems in the infrastructure design ensuring mitigation and elimination of risks and issues
Ensure that data, security and technology aspects of the architecture are delivered to meet business requirements
Able to architect solutions across disparate technologies to achieve complex business objectives for new technology, business systems or integration

Experience

Extensive experience in developing strategic architecture plans working collaboratively with senior stakeholders
Familiarity with common architectural frameworks incl. certification e.g. TOGAF, SOA
Strong IT security practical knowledge, incl. CISSP certification
Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
Design and implementation experience for Microsoft Azure, ERP, AD, Enterprise Management Tools and Network and Storage Solutions
Microsoft, (Windows Server/AD, Exchange, O365, SQL and Sharepoint), Mitel, Unitends/Netbackup, VM Ware, Azure, Cisco/Networking certifications
BSc/BA in Computer Science or related field
